SAHAMATI, a non-governmental, non-political, and non-profit organization founded in 2001, has been committed to self-reliance and sustainable development. To ensure the long-term sustainability of the organization, SAHAMATI established the SAHAMATI Learning Centre (SLC) as a dedicated training wing.
The construction of the TOMO KIMI Memorial Building, which houses SLC, was made possible through the generous financial support of Mr. Tomoda Takio, a Japanese citizen, in 2004.
SLC serves as one of the core programs of SAHAMATI, generating a regular income while offering high-quality training, workshops, and seminars packages. These programs are designed to equip participants with the necessary knowledge, skills, and attitudes to foster self-employment and professional growth. The booking of SLC is also available to any private sector or any other firms for their use.
With well-equipped training halls, accommodation, and various modern facilities, SLC continues to play a vital role in enhancing community capacity, providing consultancy services, and acting as a sustainable resource development centre for SAHAMATI. Managed by a dedicated training manager, the centre ensures smooth operations and high-quality service delivery, contributing to the long-term sustainability of the organization.
Empowering Communities Through Knowledge and Skills | A Platform for Social and Economic Transformation
Education and skill development are the foundations of self-reliance. Through the SAHAMATI Learning Centre, we strive to empower individuals with the knowledge and tools they need to create sustainable futures for themselves and their communities.
In addition to its role as a training hub, the SAHAMATI Learning Centre (SLC) fosters an environment of collaboration and knowledge exchange. By bringing together experts, practitioners, and community members, SLC facilitates discussions on pressing socio-economic issues, innovative development strategies, and sustainable livelihood solutions. The center serves as a platform where individuals can learn from one another, share best practices, and co-create solutions tailored to local challenges.
Furthermore, SLC contributes to the empowerment of marginalized groups by offering specialized training programs that enhance their entrepreneurial and leadership skills. By equipping participants with practical knowledge in areas such as financial literacy, disaster resilience, and sustainable agriculture, the center helps them build self-reliance and create better economic opportunities. Through its accessible and inclusive approach, SLC strengthens communities, paving the way for long-term social and economic transformation.
