SAHAMATI emphasize economic development, livelihood promotion, advocacy, good governance, environmental protection, disaster risk reduction, and fostering learning, innovation, and new business opportunities. SAHAMATI is particularly known for its expertise in disaster preparedness, resilience building, livelihood enhancement, environmental sustainability, and governance advocacy. We are currently active in seven districts: Nawalparasi (Bardaghat Susta East and West), Gorkha, Tanahun, Chitwan, Sidhupalchowk, and Kavrepalanchowk. Since 2075, SAHAMATI has served as the District Lead Support Agency (DLSA) for Nawalparasi (Bardaghat Susta East) and Nawalparasi (Bardaghat Susta West) since 2073. To date, SAHAMATI has expanded its reach to 52 districts across Nepal through various projects (Fig. 1).

More than 15,000 youths have received skill-based training and knowledge
Constructed more than 700 physical infrastructures (school, rural roads, and irrigations).
Around 4,000 temporary houses were constructed.
Launched the “EARLY WARNING SYSTEM” to save the vulnerable community from floods.
Initiated the “Red Color Movement-रातो रंग अभियान” for widow of Nepali community
SAHAMATI has long worked across various thematic areas, including economic development,
governance, environmental protection, disaster risk reduction, and fostering learning and
innovation. However, recognizing the need for adaptive strategies in the face of increasing climate
risks, socio-economic changes, and health challenges, SAHAMATI's leadership opted for a
strategic realignment to better serve communities.

Our focus on capacity development, resource mobilization, policy advocacy, and community-driven solutions will enable us to create meaningful, lasting change, especially for marginalized and vulnerable groups.
